REFLECTION ON E-LEARNING

The e-learning day was a very good experience for me, as its the first time i have this kind of activity. I think that the school teachers have done a very good job for making the homeworks and activities in the website. We could actually be at home and learn at the same time! The feeling is actually like having lessons on the computer which is absolutely interesting and fun at the same time.

There were lots of activity for us to do online, which was very clever of the teachers as we would have to complete all the activities so, it would be like attending school but with no teacher. Although some of the activities are harder to do, as their instructions aren't very clear, but overall, i still think that this programme is a very good experience for students who are first timers like me.

I enjoyed doing the homework online as we usually do our work on worksheets. Although there were quite alot of assignments, the subjects given were limited though, we only had 4 subjects and 1 humanity. I think the teachers should include more subjects and let us have the permission to choose the subjects we want to do.

Overall, i really enjoyed the e- learning day. I really hope that the school would have more of this kind of activities to let us look forward to studying, as this e-learning programme was really fun and most of the students like the idea of not going to school, but the teachers also like the idea of students having to finish the assignments given.

HOLIIDAY EXPERIENCE

On the 7th of june. i attended my cousin's wedding that was held at MANDAI ORCHID GARDENS. It was my first time attending a wedding in the open air. Although it was in the open air, it was very cooling and the bride was very pretty. The wedding gift was a small potted plant which would open up everyday at 9am in the morning. I had a fun time there and enjoyed every moment of it.

MY TARGET

My target for english is to get at least B3.
During the 1st semester, I got only a B4.
Having a B3 would be my lowest target.
If I can have a A2 or a A1, that would even be better!
But first,I must work harder ..

Book Review

This story is about a girl who is well-liked by everyone in the school. Even popular people in her school turn to her for help and she becomes almost like a school counselor. Her school has a newspaper column named ‘Ask Annie’ where people who have problems would write to the column asking for help. ‘Annie’ would then try and help by giving relevant advice.
However, ‘Annie’s’ identity must be kept secret as people may not want to write to the column if they knew her true identity as certain people may dislike her.

One day, Jenny was heading for her favourite café when she ran into her fifth grade friend Scott, who had been her first crush. Together, they went into the café for some coffee and started chatting. When Jenny found out that Scott was going to be in the same school as her, se was happy and excited.

When Jenny headed for school the next day, she saw Geri Lynn, a senior who was graduating high school this year. She was riding her bike with Scott, both of them sharing a joke at which Scott was laughing hysterically. Jenny was happy that Scott had managed to make friends on his first day in school. She soon found out that Scott and Geri had become a couple but did not mind that fact.

During one of her physical education lessons, she was called out of class by Ms. Kellog, a teacher whom she liked a lot. Ms. Kellog then told Jenny that the famous nineteen year old actor Luke Striker was coming to her school to carry out a research. That day when Luke Striker came, he was cleverly disguised so that he could carry out his research without hordes of girls following him around the school.

When Luke found out that Jenny often put other people before herself and sacrificing her own happiness, he told her that she should learn to not to compromise her own happiness just to please everyone around her. Jenny then proceeded to take his advice and from then on saw a marked change in her life. She was very thankful for Luke’s advice and her change in character made people start respecting her more and in the end, she managed to make Scott fall for her while her senior Geri ended up together with Luke.
